TEVITA PANGAI JNR has seen his appeal of a one-match ban for Grade A Dangerous Contact fail.
As such, an additional five penalty points was added, taking him to 16 points. He will now receive a two-match suspension and fine.
Pangai Jnr had already received a Grade B Late Contact on Passer and Grade A Late Contact on Passer charge from the same fixture against Warrington Wolves last week, which had yielded a two-game and one-game suspension respectively.
The former Catalans Dragons prop will therefore sit out Rovers’ next five games, meaning he has likely played his last game for the club this year.
His suspension would only end in time for the Grand Final, should the Robins make it to Old Trafford to defend their Super League title.
