The most ill-disciplined and disciplined Super League sides of 2024

NOW that the 2024 regular Super League season is over, all attention is focused on the end-of-season play-offs.

But, for those six Super League clubs whose attentions are now firmly set on 2025 and improving on 2024, it’s a time of analysis of what went wrong.

For those six Super League clubs still set to play a role in the final weeks of the season, there will be inquests after the season about what could have been improved.

A lot of clubs and head coaches will, no doubt, be focusing on discipline – or a lack of.

Hull FC’s new head coach John Cartwright will be keen to rectify the club’s ill-discipline, with four red cards and 19 yellows giving the Black and Whites a grand total of 23 cards for the season – a statistic that works out at almost one a game.

Next in the list, despite their ascend into the Super League play-offs, is the Leigh Leopards who have accrued 19 yellow cards but no reds interestingly enough.

Locked on 16 cards apiece are the Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils, with the former being given four reds and 12 yellows and the latter just one red but 15 yellow cards.

High-flying Warrington Wolves are next in the list with 15 cards, with two red and 13 yellows whilst league leaders Wigan Warriors weren’t shy of a card or two with three reds and 11 yellows.

St Helens accrued three reds and ten yellow cards, whilst Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR were awarded just 11 yellows apiece.

Though neither side enjoyed great 2024 seasons, Catalans Dragons and Castleford Tigers both amassed just two red cards and eight yellows, but way out in front with just eight yellow cards are the London Broncos.
