Three potential replacements for Larne Patrick at Huddersfield

Danny Tickle

Current club: Free agent

Position: Second-row

Tickle Widnes

It is well known that Huddersfield have been chasing the 33-year-old for some time now following his release from Widnes.

Paul Anderson told TotalRL that there had been discussions about bringing the former Wigan and Hull FC goalkicker to the club, but nothing has been finalised as of yet.

His experience would prove handy for the Giants with a number of youngsters coming through the ranks while his goalkicking exploits are another useful addition to any side.

Danny Addy

Current club: Bradford Bulls

Position: Utility

Addy

It has been speculated that the Giants are keen on bringing the 25-year-old to the club for the 2017 season, but Patrick’s departure could potentially accelerate such a move.

Addy has Super League experience and is regarded as one of the Championship’s top players, and you’d have to imagine the Scotland international would be keen on testing himself at the top should the opportunity arise.

His versatility would give Anderson the option of changing things throughout the pack and even facilitate a move for Joe Wardle into the second-row.

Matt Sarsfield

Current club: Salford Red Devils

Position: Second-row

Matthew-Sarsfield

Sarsfield only joined the Red Devils at the start of the season following his departure from Leigh Centurions, but has struggled for game time since.

In fact, the second-row has made just five appearances for Ian Watson’s side since joining the club amid fierce competition in Salford’s pack.

While his current club might not be willing to allow a permanent move, they might be keen on him getting some minutes elsewhere.
