Castleford Tigers have issued the following statement following yesterday’s First Utility Super League game with Salford Red Devils:
“Sunday’s game at the AJ Bell stadium was marred by a fan who ran on to the field whilst the game was in play.
“This action is not condoned by the club and we cannot let the actions of an individual spoil the good work we’ve done as a club in recent months.
“We will hold an internal investigation and contact the individual concerned.
“Castleford Tigers will make no further comment on the incident until the investigation has been concluded.”
