Vikings welcome back trio of stars for Bulls clash

Hep Cahill is expected to return to the Widnes line-up for this Sunday’s clash with Bradford, after being named in Denis Betts’ 19-man squad.

Cahill has missed the last four Vikings games with Huddersfield, Salford, Leeds and Hull but the Aussie is now fully fit and available to take his place in Denis Betts’ side for this weekend’s clash with Bradford Bulls.

Prop-forward Paul Clough comes back into the mix this week as does winger Jack Owens. The pair both missed out last week’s 7-0 victory up in Hull at the KC Stadium.

Last year, Widnes forced a 22-22 draw in the home fixture with Bradford, despite being down to twelve men for most of the contest.

The Vikings backed up this impressive display later in the campaign, when they put the Bulls to the sword 32-28 in a closely fought encounter at Odsal – with Patrick Ah Van proving to be the star of the show for the Vikings with a memorable length of the field try.

Widnes Vikings squad to face Bradford:  Ah Van, Brown, Cahill, Clarke, Clough, Craven, Dean, Flynn, Galea, Gerrard, Gilmore, Johnson,, Joseph, Leuluai, Lloyd, Owens, Phelps, Tickle, White.
