Wakefield back in the top four following Widnes triumph

Wakefield’s unlikely charge for a play-off spot gathered pace as they returned to the top four with a comfortable 36-8 win over Widnes.

Liam Finn kicked 12 points in the victory, while Bill Tupou and Ben Jones-Bishop scored twice to help Chris Chester’s side secure an easy win.

It was 18-8 at half-time before Tinirau Arona’s first try of the season helped Trinity secure a win, and inflict a third street defeat on the Vikings.
