Wakefield pushing for Huby deal

Wakefield Trinity are thought to be closing in on a deal to sign Huddersfield prop Craig Huby.

League Express reports that the front-rower could be the latest to leave the John Smith’s Stadium, with Wakefield lining up the former Castleford prop as a replacement for Mickael Simon.

Huby has previously been linked with a move away from Huddersfield, although he remains contracted for the next two years.

Wakefield’s search for a prop has been documented since the Super 8s, with Chris Chester confirming that they would look for more power in the pack.

Should Huby depart, he would be the third front-rower to leave Huddersfield, following in the footsteps of Eorl Crabtree and Josh Johnson.
