Warrington and Wakefield players charged after Super League Grand Final

WAKEFIELD TRINITY’S Corey Hall and Warrington Wolves’ Sam Stone have both been charged by the Disciplinary Match Review Panel following the Super League Grand Final.

Wakefield overcame Warrington 23-10 on Saturday in one of the most remarkable Old Trafford victories in the competition’s history.

Hall, who otherwise had a superb game, was sinbinned early in the second half for a high tackle on Arron Lindop as Warrington attempted to get back into the final from 19-0 down.

The Wolves managed to score one try whilst Hall was off the field, but Wakefield proved too strong.

Meanwhile, Sam Stone was charged with Grade C Dangerous Contact.

Following the Betfred Super League Grand Final, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:

Corey Hall (Wakefield Trinity) – Opposition: Warrington Wolves – Grade B Head Contact – Penalty Points: 3 – Total Penalty Points: 3 – Fine

Sam Stone (Warrington Wolves) – Opposition: Wakefield Trinity – Grade C Dangerous Contact – Penalty Points: 5 – Total Penalty Points: 5 – Fine
