Warrington Wolves provide positive Arron Lindop injury update

WARRINGTON WOLVES have provided a positive update on Arron Lindop, confirming the centre’s injuries are “not as severe as first feared”.

The 20-year-old hobbled off during Thursday’s win over Catalans Dragons, in just his second game back from a year-long injury absence, with his coach Sam Burgess appearing to confirm initial fears that he had suffered a second anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury to the same knee.

But scans have revealed that is not the case, with Lindop expected to miss six weeks of action after sustaining injuries to both his medial knee ligament and ankle ligament, which would see him return in August.

While that is a boost for Warrington, things still remain bleak on the injury front in the short-term, with both Josh Thewlis (ankle) and Jordan Crowther (calf) also injured in Thursday’s win.
