We need a couple more signings, says Danny Brough

Huddersfield Giants captain Danny Brough has told TotalRL.com that he thinks the club need a “couple more signings” ahead of 2016 – but admits he’s not sure where they will be able to get them from.

The Giants have lost players like Chris Bailey, Craig Kopczak and most recently Brett Ferres ahead of the new season, with Ryan Hinchcliffe and Sam Rapira amongst the names coming into the John Smith’s Stadium.

But Brough says he thinks that realistically the Giants need two more new faces in a strong interview that you can hear in full below.

“We’re pretty light in the squad; we could do with a couple more signings to be realistic, but where we get them from I don’t know,” he said.

“Everyone’s normally signed up so there’s not much out there at the moment, so we’ve got to do the best with the squad we have got.”

Brough also discusses Huddersfield’s tough start to the season – which involves an opening two games against St Helens and Wigan – and admits that a top-eight finish is the realistic goal before they can think about achieving anything else towards the back end of the year.
