We’ve got work to do, admits McDermott

Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott admits his team have got “work to do” following another league defeat.

The Rhinos have now won just two of their last seven league games, and could be taken off top spot on Friday night if St Helens or Wigan win in the derby at Langtree Park.

And following the 31-24 loss to Castleford at Headingley, McDermott conceded that his team have to make improvements as they approach the business end of the season.

“I know we had some momentum for the last 25 minutes of the first half but I didn’t think we were ever convincing, especially defensively.

“Yet to come from 18-0 down we’ve got to take some credit in that we found a way to come back against a Castleford team that’s in form.

“We’ve got some work to do.”
