WHITEHAVEN will be without Chris Taylor for the entire season after agreeing to release the injured centre from his contract.
Taylor has made 195 appearances for the club, the most recent of them coming last July against Workington Town when he played with a shoulder issue suffered in the previous game with Goole Vikings.
A Whitehaven statement explained: “Both Chris and the club have agreed to release him from his contract so he can fully focus on his rehab and recovery with the hope of playing again in 2027.”
Meanwhile, Haven have signed hooker Liam Williamson from Seaton Rangers for the season after a successful trial.
Williamson could make his debut on Sunday when Newcastle Thunder visit the Ortus REC.
