Great Britain Police opened their tour of the USA with a 64-18 victory over Central Florida Warriors in a game put back 24 hours because of flash flooding at Ormond Beach.
Ryan Heeley led the way in the success with four tries, while Darrell Rotherham crossed twice.
The Police, who were 28-6 ahead at the interval, also registered touchdowns by Jon McCloud, Chris Sheffield, David Green, Chris Smith, Si McEvoy and Earl Gorman (the man of the match), while Jack Snowden landed eight goals.
Wesley Gerie, the hosts’ best player, bagged a brace for the Warriors, Carl Wilkins nipped over, and Chris Chorlton improved each effort.
Great Britain are now preparing for a tilt with USA Pioneers at Jacksonville on Saturday (28 November) in the second and final game of the trip.
