The Rugby Football League have confirmed that York City Knights’ game against Doncaster on Sunday has been postponed.

The game, which was due to be played at Bootham Crescent, has been called off after it emerged the Knights were embroiled in a battle over the usage of the pitch, which is shared with York City Football Club.

In a further statement issued to TotalRL however, an RFL Spokesperson said: “As with any club in difficulty, the RFL will work closely with York City Knights to assist them with the issues they are currently facing. We have spoken to the club today and will continue to work closely with them over the coming days as they speak with all stakeholders involved in an attempt to work through the situation.”
