York to host Crusaders at Bootham Crescent

York City Knights will finally play a home game at York City’s Bootham Crescent this season, after the North Wales Crusaders announced they would be playing at the venue next month.

The game has been rearranged for Thursday August 20 with a 7:30pm kick-off according to the Crusaders on Twitter, meaning that the Knights will finally play at Bootham Crescent as planned way back at the start of the season.

Since then they have played at the likes of Heworth, Clifton Park and have even taken games out of the city, playing at Featherstone Rovers earlier in the year.

The Knights announced on their own website earlier in the week that they have agreed a deal to play in the city’s new community stadium when it opens.
