Zak Hardaker signs new deal with Hull FC

ZAK HARDAKER has signed a new one-year deal with Hull FC.

Hardaker has impressed since joining the Airlie Birds ahead of the 2025 Super League campaign, claiming the Hull FC Player of the Year award in his debut year and continuing his form into the start of the new season.

Hardaker has over 400 career appearances to his name, and has made 32 appearances for John Cartwright’s side since his move to the club, offering utility value across the squad having featured at fullback, centre, halfback and back-row.

And the 34-year-old has now put pen to paper on a new deal for 2027: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be doing another year at Hull FC in 2027,” Hardaker said.

“Getting it over the line so early in the year is a godsend really because it’s no longer going to be a distraction, worrying about my future. I can get my head down and solely focus on winning games for Hull now.

“My time at the club so far has flown by and it’s been one of the most enjoyable periods of my career to date. I’m really lucky to have so many great team mates and staff around me to make Hull feel like home.

“I just want to give a shoutout to the fans as well, who have been nothing short of fantastic with me during my time at the club. I absolutely love the Faithful and can’t wait to do another year playing in front of them.”

Hull FC Director of Rugby Gareth Ellis, said: “We are delighted to see Zak commit to the club for another season – he has been an incredibly important addition to our group over the past 18-months, and will continue to be as we move forward and into 2027.

“His energy and enthusiasm for the club and the sport is infectious, and he is a critically important figure for our group in these areas on both the training and playing fields.

“He is in a really good place both on and off the field, and that stability is allowing him to consistently perform and contribute positively to the environment we are building here.

“Zak is enjoying his rugby here in West Hull, and that is reflected in his performances across last season, and into 2026 as one of our stand-out performers in all areas.”
