  1. Slightly off topic but can anyone tell me if there is any reason my Mrs cant bring her well behaved dog into boundary park tomorrow night? Seen one or 2 pooches around bower fold and odd one at BP.
  2. I was going to say something along the same lines. Trying to get fans back on board to watch the team whilst decent players leave doesn't help the situation. Fully understand cant stand in the way of a player and SL chance and we are cutting our cloth accordingly right now. We just need that statement from the club that a deal is done and x,y,z will be in charge. Hopefully soon...very soon then all fans/players/staff know whats going on.
  3. I am sure the club will announce something in due course but are we any nearer to knowing who has/is taking over from BQ? I saw on a previous post Jim Minton is now the majority shareholder but 1 man cant do it all. One statement said we had help from a new sponsor,Is there an announcement due that I have missed.Any news at all? Just wondering
  4. I fully understand that some fans will be disappointed or cant make the game for various reasons but the club are back in oldham and thats the best thing for the club. Personally i wasn't impressed going to bower fold as I live 30mins walk from BP and I paid for a season ticket for the privilege. Its got to be a positive for the club going forward.
  5. Ultimately whatever happens in the next few days all yeds fans will want is a competitive/winning team playing in oldham, let's hope this is the result of this week's upheaval.
  6. First of all i hope Bill is fit and firing soon as possible and a huge thank you to him for all he has done for the club. After recent events it was only a matter of time before something had to give. Unfortunately its the man who we need most to help secure the future. In my opinion 4 possible scenarios will play out. 1. This squad cannot be funded on 700-800 loyal fans each week,so I can see more leaving, like last time Bill walked away (different circumstances) 2. A money man/men are already waiting in the wings (e.g the Fords) 3. Someone as suggested that BQ has stepped down and maybe stop the legal proceedings so we can return to BP,but seems unlikely if there is no money coming in. 4.Club will fold as Fev,fax, etc etc. Super League teams have already made public they are losing around £2m a season so i genuinely hope there is someone who is waiting in the wings because financially there is no way we can pay the players we have now without a benefactor, thats the reality of the game on a whole let alone in the championship.
  7. Thanks sheddingswasus...much appreciated, had no idea as dont have FB.
  8. Does anyone travel on the bus to bower fold from fox and pine, been looking on website and cannot see any link or do you pay on the bus?can anyone help please?
  9. Personally I paid £250 for a seat in C section.
  10. Totally understand there is 2 weeks to our 1st league game and I would want nothing better to be sat at BP in the horrible cold windy Friday oldham night but as BQ quoted "it was a waste of time" from the last meeting so not hopeful ot will be resolved in 14 days, hopefully yes but not looking good at the moment
  11. Just wondering if any other fan is wanting/considering a refund with not playing at BP. I only came back after years a way as i live 30mins walk away from BP.Personally I don't drive and have no way of getting to BF on match day unless there is a bus, there is one now but a £5 charge after paying for a ticket in good faith to be playing at BP i feel its a little unfair. I never went to whitebank as it was too expensive/difficult to get there. Any other fans feeling the same??
  12. Instagram post shows the team coach heading to London but parked on BP car park?? surely if there was an issue ongoing and no communication between the 2 clubs then why would they let the bus/club use any part of BP?
  13. Looking at MF on the match preview he doesn't talk like a man ready to quit. There is a possible scenario where BQ steps down due to OAFC not wanting him there,MF goes to chairman/DOR and kilshaw becomes 1st team coach and we go back to BP unfortunately without BQ. Someone or persons may buy BQ shares if he has them or join the board.all if and buts but a possibility
  14. Maybe a coach has already been agreed verbally and Wardle is not wanted by the incoming coach and wants his 'own man'. Obviously Wardle was Long's right hand man. Wouldn't surprise me if its someone from overseas,Queensland Cup coach or some up and coming aussie,if MF/BQ looking at aussie players then why not a coach?
  15. Oldham were poor but hats off to Halifax they were on it from min 1 to min 80.i looked at the clock at the 75th minute and their defence was still hard and still driving oldham players back, whitby kicked us to death and he will be in saints 1st team very soon, very skilful and stood out.fax owed us one and they did a job on us.finished 4th after promotion i will take that but poor end to the season.
