phildog
Just listened to JD interviewing JK on his last game in charge. Having been one of those who called for his head mid last season, I'm pleased to say he stuck it out and proved himself all over again. Like they say, form is temporary, class is permanent. Congratulations to John and his very supportive and hard-working wife on being made Life Members, we'll deserved and good luck and thanks.
Kevin Nicholas
Last season John got some stick when things didnt always go the way everybody would have liked. He continued to work hard with the players and he had the experience to pull us through. The Board & Chief Exec also have more experience than any other in Rugby League and that is experience of struggling but maintaining our status as well as some success. We stick together and support coaches who are decent as well as knowledgable people and are friends. That is our ethos so just trust us when times are more difficult than we would like as well as hopefully enjoying the good times and we will continue to do our best. See you in 2017 and beyond!!! Bulldog Days
Good call Kevin. I stated (along with numerous other posters on this forum) last season that there was no doubt about John Kear's coaching pedigree, but he needed some support in the transfer market, and then his true skills could come to the fore. Yourself and the Board had the courage to speculate on some quality personnel close season, and facilitated a level of quality in the squad that John Kear could blend and coach into a very effective unit. The financial rewards for this speculation are there to be seen this season, and I hope spurs you on to add additional quality into the squad in the forthcoming close season. Well done to all concerned.
buford t justice
We are very lucky to have what we have at our club, and although it can be frustrating at times, seasons like this one make up for all those years in the doldrums! From a supporters perspective, it is really heartening to see the club in such great health and genuinely progressing on and off the field, long may it continue, lets hope the boys give John a great send off on Sunday with a win! What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law
