If you guys are lucky I'll do a breakdown going back a couple more seasons and a few summaries of worst attended home fixtures by away team on Monday -

Shhhhh the New Originals Mental Gymnastics plan doesn’t make sense if you point out stuff like this! -

I think they were always open to expanding the league but that would have to be on the basis of a comp of Grade A clubs with a strategic focus for growth. The basic premise was that just winning the Championship was not enough of a qualification to show suitability for Super League (and also the risk of losing a FT Super League set up). Ironically the new gang seem to agree with this too, though they don't seem to be shouting too much about it. -

All I'm saying is that in the years since Leigh have been back in SL the TV contract value has gone down *ducks* -

Or if Brighton, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth took the place of Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham City, Sheffield United, Leicester City, or Leeds United... -

I think Salford will drop behind Bradford and quite possibly York or even London if they improve. But otherwise I agree. -

This is the key thing isn't it. Most folk have Sky for the football, some cricket and F1. The Golf, Darts, RL, RU Lions, Tennis, other cricket and football, other motorsports, and American Sports are all basically added supplementary content aimed at either tipping the value for money assessment over for people and/or to keep people engaged with the channel. Notably those sports are across the whole range of the socio-economic scale, of which football and F1 more often largely cover. -
Here are the numbers of League matches for each team which got lower attendances than when they played Catalans at home in the 2024 season (and who they were against in order of fixtures). Where loop fixtures have been involved I have picked the highest to compare with and given a second rating for the second home match - these clubs were London and Leeds. You can make your own conclusions... Castleford: 4/12 (HUD/LON/WIG/SAL) Huddersfield: 0/12 Hull KR: 2/12 (WAR/HUD) Hull FC: 2/12 (WIG/SAL) Leeds: 7/12 (WAR/HUD/LON/LON/WIG/CAT/HULL) Loop fixture higher than 3 (WAR/LON/WIG) . Leigh: 2/12 (HUD/LON) London: 12/12 and 0/12 Salford: 7/12 (CAS/WIG/LON/HULL/CAS/LEE/HUD) St Helens: 4/12 (HULL/HUD/CAS/SAL) Warrington: 9/12 (HULL/CAS/STH/HULL/HKR/SAL/HUD/LEE/LON) Wigan: 5/12 (CAS/LON/HUD/LEI/HULL)

I know you want that mate, and I know you want rid of any restrictions on p/r. I just don't think these lot are going to give you that. Absolutely shocker that as soon as grading is threatened, clubs vote in more overseas quotas. But alas, IMG were clearly the problem. -

House of League Because they have a fair bit of backing from relatively new ownership who would be willing to take a reduced amount of central funding to be in SL. -

Sounds lovely but its not what they want to happen Harry. Just like promoting British youth talent by increasing the quota spots. Been had mate. -

Just to add, literally every team in the comp will NOT have their lowest gate against Catalans. Far more likely against a "smaller" English team like the current bottom 3. -
England v Australia 2025 - coming to the UK!
Tommygilf replied to Chris22's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
But we all know what would happen, the cup final moves, we don't host a tour, and then the cup final is in Leeds and the 3 England tests are all along the M62. The cup final being at Wembley is the only thing that guarantees a big match south of the M62 every year. -

They're the current positions of Bradford, Oldham and London no particular reason to feel they will change significantly. -

You're gonna be devastated when 3rd 4th and 10th are promoted instead of 1st Harry...
