  1. I thought Cornwall looked a decent team last week. They’ll be no push overs at home.
  2. Will he need a fork lift truck and a low loader ?
  3. Yes, Matt is doing a great job. He’s very hard working and really enthusiastic.
  4. I don’t think Cornwall will be a push over on their home ground. They never gave up today and some of their players were a handful. Whilst it was 13 v 13 it was a bit of an arm wrestle.
  5. Not a great game today. It wasn’t helped by an over officious referee who liked the sound of his own whistle a bit too much. Cornwall never gave up but the a loss of a player red carded on the half hour mark made it into an up hill struggle for them. Hornets did enough to win comfortably after that incident without looking to be anywhere near top form. We were ok with ball in hand but made too many soft mistakes gifting Cornwall a couple of tries. The Super Heroes day looked to be a great success with many people turning up in fancy dress. Well done to all who took part.
  6. Terrific second half performance from the lads today. I think we looked to be fitter than Keighley at the end. We seemed to be on the way to earning a last minute draw until that loose pass went to an opponent. Fair play to their lad for going the length of the field. Carry on like that and we should be in for a very interesting season. It was the converted try just before half time that did the damage. Incidentally both kickers did really well today. Neither of them looked like missing.
  7. Unfortunately nothing happened.
  8. Charlie was a really class loose forward. I remember Hornets playing Keighley away in the Challenge Cup in the 1970’s. Hornets won comfortably but Charlie was outstanding for Keighley. I said to my mate “ That loose forward looks a good player, I wouldn’t mind signing him. “ About 2 or 3 weeks later we signed him. He always gave 100% and was a real grafter. Tganks for the memories Charlie, you were a good ‘un.
  9. You need changes in the boardroom if the football club is ever to move forward. Otherwise it’s just money down the drain. But I suppose you already know that after the success story of the last three seasons.
  10. That’s good news, sounds like Else didn’t have a broken arm after all.
  11. I’ve always liked him. I thought he was good at Swinton, he always gave us a hard time.
  12. Same when Rangi Chase broke his arm. It looked to be a nothing incident.
  13. I believe Else has a broken arm. Another key player out along with Ridyard and McNally. If it wasn’t for the bad luck we wouldn’t have any luck at all.
  14. It looks like Christmas came early this year.
