I think Wade Graham at his peak demonstrated how valuable a ball playing forward can be. Sharks remained top of the table by beating Melbourne last night and they had Cam McG as ball playing forward filling in for a late Nicho Hynes scratching.

I reckon it’s much more than the 55 minutes I remember reading about a decade ago. Not so lucky

I actually think he was being very cheeky and did what he did deliberately in order to put Atkinson off his game. I thought the sin bin was fully deserved.

I might have missed the last quarter of that match but it’s great to see the Bombers up the top end of the table, beating teams in the top 4… and Cronulla for that matter.

No it’s not. I can take a bad decision, but a bad directive is another thing altogether. The high ball kick and chase is the biggest officiating lottery going. Players called for escorting when simply holding their line or position is a consistent incorrect decision. Attacking players called for obstruction, by referees who read a game out of a book instead of on the pitch, whilst making legitimate attempts to catch a high ball are too common. Then we have the girls in the middle so we look progressive BS. NRL officiating is in a poor state it hasn’t been in for a long time.

I suggest the game finishes too quickly and I want more action. My proposal is a simple suggestion where the clock stops with all whistle stoppages. I reckon this gives us another extra 5-10 minutes of play per half, per match. In fact, I find it strange that the clock would even continue whilst the ball is not in play, so why is it even something requiring consideration?

Does a team really need two? I’m open to thinking that maybe my team doesn’t need both a half and a 5/8. Maybe my team would be better off with an extra basher.

Keeping this thread simple, I think this is such a low percentage play for the kicking team with a high expense should the ball not be retrieved. unless the game is on the line, I’m kicking long every drop out and playing the odds that my defence is better than a sub 50% opportunity to gain possession.

As far as I am concerned, any person responsible in the establishment of this fundraising scam should be made to explain themselves and failing that, removed from the sport.

The sustainability of London junior footy was certainly dependent on the DO’s. Funding obviously ran out. Why didn’t those DO’s care? Were they just rugby fans getting job or were there other reasons?
