  1. Indeed, £10m budget to market the hell out of games at the McAlpine would do wonders.
  2. Don't know how much the Catalan game took out of the team, couldve been a factor in the drop off. We had little territory or possession in the second half, compound by giving away cheap penalties and six agains, practically inviting Leeds to constantly start a set in out half. Had we been more disciplined we may have kept them far enough away from the try line to win the game.
  3. The ground is a mile from the WMDC border, so pretty much another home game for Trinity, particularly if not many Huddersfield fans follow the club. I suppose how many do will depend on how the team perform. If they do well, I guess maybe 1k - 2k of the typical 3k will bother.
  4. Disappointed to lose that, but that is what RL is all about. Two teams going at it, end to end, result in doubt until the end. Fantastic stuff. Playing in big games will stand Trinity in good stead, we will lose some in this run in, but we'll beat some of the top teams too. On to the next 5 weeks and the ups and downs that will bring.
  5. Anyhow Ellis must be on the right track as the insults have started about his weight. I'm sure he's really bothered about what some no mark on Twitter says.
  6. Minor point, the new stand wasn't council funded, it was private developer funded via a S106. The council merely attributed the money to the intended place.
  7. 9250 I think. It does say its almost sold out of home fans.
  8. Not a new signing, but a welcome one none the same. Been outstanding this year.
  9. I'd say re-profiling is more needed than the roof, we are a summer sport so usually the need for cover is minimal, but the increase in elevation could improve match day experience no end.
  10. The plans are here; https://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=SN5JYGQQJOD00 If you click on the sections and you'll note the pitch of the roof. That was a result of a right to light complaint. It doesn't give much room to do anything with the terracing sadly, especially under the gantry, which was initially shown above the roof rather than under. It's basically a bodge, and to do something more would need those houses.
  11. Right to light issues, not just physical space, limits what we can do, the modest improvements proposed had to be adapted so not negatively impact the adjacent houses. I imagine Headingley has similar restrictions.
  12. Flanagan is a excellent prospect. He gives out plenty so has to be prepared to take some stick, but he's got a bright future.
