  1. Like most supporters I look at potential owners and investors with skepticism. On the other hand we've had just the one bid to take the club on....by MC and previous board members. I wonder why anyone with money would invest in a club like Fev unless they genuinely care about it. It's clearly a money pit with very little chance of any substantial return on any investment. Even at SL level most clubs lose money. If for example MC was the fly in the ointment for Paddy Handly's plans for the club, then PH could have bid to take the club out of administration, but apparently hasn't? A few years ago our previous Chief Exec Davide Longo spoke to the construction company I worked for about developing the land the club own and at that time our developers couldn't make anything work with the land. These we're social housing development experts who build everywhere and anywhere. This was a while ago and things change but i'm not so sure the land the club own is the golden goose fans think it may be. Looks like it's a case of "better the devil you know"............especially as we only got one bid from the devil we know.

  3. I'd go with one traditional recognisable classic design each season and then do what you want with the other away, charity, magic weekend, warm up jerseys etc. The classic design will still probably have different trims, collars, sponsors each year. I find often if you like more classic looking designs then you aren't catered for with a lot of teams.
  4. Alright Grandad It's been our traditional colours since Revie changed it in the 1960s. Revie changed them to all white inspired by Real Madrid. (Edit......I see other have pointed this out) I believe Featherstone Rovers original colours where brown and white hoops too.
  5. Maybe wigan are doing him a favour....cos you'll sell a ton of these testimonial kits based on the other 2 options.
  6. I'd buy a Fev traditional butchers stripe jersey every season with minimal changes (slightly different collar/some new sponsors etc)........hate it when they do anything different. Same if Leeds United ever stray away from a plain white kit. I think some people will buy a new kit every season regardless just to have the latest one whether it has changed much or not. I suppose the NRL and NFL (where kits rarely change) don't have to rely on selling jerseys for income as much as uk rugby league clubs do.
  7. That's what I Love about the NRL.........Most teams have a classic recognisable jersey they stick with every season. I know why UK clubs chop and change kit designs every year but personally I don't like it.
  8. Best kit in rugby league gets even better..........some really nice images of the shirt on Adidas Australia website. https://www.adidas.com.au/sydney_roosters
  9. Along with the current Hull KR logo I think this is the best one Super league have had......
  10. Bradford's logo is a far better illustration with improved typography but the bull is very hard to see. The chiselled Giant is a lot better than the zombie on the previous one. Hull KR = Best Rebrand in super league buy a mile.
  11. Fev need to rethink what they can offer the local area and what their business model is. We can totally forget aiming for Super league for the time being. Last season a Fev membership was probably a similar price to a Cas or Wakefield one....for an extra 30 quid or so you could go watch Leeds Rhinos. We're in a league you can't get promoted or relegated from with zero profile and will lose most of our games in the short term. If we have a club to support next season they need to do something different to attract new supporters.
  12. The short timescale for submissions to take on the club suggests there's an acceptable bid ready (or the indication of one). If there's no interest at all then why set such a short deadline to find a bidder?
  13. If as I suspect may happen...Mark Campbell is the only person interested in buying the club will the RFL approve it?
  14. Depends...a league of 10 sides equally competitive, equally funded and salary capped would be far more exciting than a predictable lop sided league of 14 IMO. Plus there more space for international windows, crossover games with the NRL etc. Also based on who the NRL would want as those 10 sides the semi pro comp below it would be great.
  15. Losing a grand final is miserable for a day.......the rest of the season is pretty good
