Salford owner Dr Marwan Koukash has announced on Twitter that outgoing Leeds Rhinos winger Ben Jones-Bishop is set to join the Red Devils at the end of the season.
Jones-Bishop, 25, is regarded as one of the finest wingers and full-backs in Super League but has struggled to cement his place in the Rhinos’ starting lineup in 2014 due to the superb form of Ryan Hall, Tom Briscoe and Zak Hardaker. Nevertheless, in just six appearances this year he has scored seven four-pointers and made one assist.
Rumours were circulating that a move to rugby union was on the cards but thankfully the 13-man code has kept hold of one of its brightest stars. Big-spending Salford announced recently that New Zealand full-back Kevin Locke is also set to join their side at the end of 2014, so the future is bright for fans of the Red Devils.
