Mikaele Ravalawa set for Castleford Tigers exit

MIKAELE RAVALAWA is set for an early exit from Castleford Tigers, Total Rugby League understands.

Ravalawa was a high-profile signing for Castleford ahead of the 2026 season following a successful seven years in the NRL.

However, it’s fair to say that the move has not paid off for both parties, with the 28-year-old registering just two tries in nine appearances for the Tigers.

Prior to his move to the OneBore Stadium, Ravalawa had crossed 67 times in 98 appearances for St George Illawarra Dragons as well as once in two appearances for South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2025.

With Castleford swiftly moving forward with their quota signings for 2027 – Mat Feagai and Damien Cook are confirmed additions from St George Illawarra Dragons with Tyrell Sloan set to follow while Wakefield Trinity’s Mason Lino is also expected to join – the Tigers are in need of shedding some of their overseas stars.

Ravalawa is set to be one of them, despite signing a three-year contract.

Halfbacks Daejarn Asi and Tom Weaver are also expected to depart the club, the latter also having his deal cut short after just one season.
