LEEDS RHINOS have signed Parramatta Eels forward Dylan Walker on a three-year deal from 2027.
Walker, 31, has played over 250 NRL Premiership games as well as gaining four caps for the Kangaroos (all back in 2014) and two State of Origin appearances for New South Wales.
Walker previously played for South Sydney Rabbitohs, Manly Sea Eagles and New Zealand Warriors before joining Parramatta in 2025. He has been an ever present with the Eels this season.
Leeds’ sporting director Ian Blease said: “We are really pleased to have been able to sign a player of Dylan’s experience and quality.
“He has enjoyed success throughout his career and won the NRL Grand Final in 2014 with South Sydney, and having spoken to Dylan at length he is so excited to pull on the Rhinos jersey.
“He has got a great work ethic, and skills as we have seen with how he has transitioned from multiple backs positions (he was a centre or stand-off early in his career) into the forward pack and I know he will fit in well with the group for next season that we are building.
“As a club we have had a real focus on retaining our best young players whilst adding in to the group at an elite level when the opportunity arises and is required.”
Commenting on his move to the Rhinos, Walker said: “Leeds is a massive club and it’s a new home. I’m really excited about the new challenge ahead and the experience that follows.
“I’m a competitor at the end of the day and love to win. Signing with Leeds is a privilege and I’m super excited to rip in and get amongst the boys, staff and fans.”
Walker features most at loose-forward, where Leeds are losing Cameron Smith to Wakefield Trinity at the end of the season while it remains to be seen whether Kallum Watkins, 35, will sign for another year.
He’s their second confirmed signing for 2027, following a return for Morgan Gannon after one season with New Zealand Warriors.
Leeds are set to lose Harry Newman, James McDonnell, Mikolaj Oledzki to NRL newcomers Perth Bears while Brodie Croft is joining Warrington Wolves.
