BATLEY BULLDOGS coach James Ford hopes a blank weekend will prove beneficial as he plots a first win in five away to Doncaster on Friday.
Having claimed four victories on the spin, the Fox’s Biscuits Stadium side have suffered four straight defeats, the latest of them 34-30 at home to Midlands.
Fullback Robbie Butterworth (hamstring), prop Liam Kirk (concussion), hooker Jonah Parsons (hand) and backrowers Nyle Flynn (shoulder) and Lucas Walshaw (hand and wrist) are all under treatment.
And winger Derrell Olpherts is two-thirds of the way through a six-match suspension for the use of unacceptable language.
“The Midlands game was disappointing,” said Ford. “Scoring 30 points at home should be enough to win a match.”
Batley lost 16-12 at home to Doncaster in February.
