WIDNES VIKINGS coach Allan Coleman talked up the club as he issued a rallying cry to supporters.
The DCBL Stadium side made it seven wins from seven in all competitions with a 46-0 victory over Dewsbury and are now looking forward to Sunday’s home 1895 Cup semi-final against Rochdale.
Earlier this year, Coleman was feeling the heat after successive defeats by Doncaster and Barrow.
But things picked up, and the former Swinton coach believes the club is heading in the right direction.
“What’s key for me this year is, there are two, three or maybe four clubs financially really struggling,” he said.
“Is that happening here? No chance. We’ve got what we’ve got and we are proud of that.
“Will we get better? One hundred percent we will get better. Have we got the best fans in the competition? Yes, we have.
“Have we got the best staff in the competition? Yes. Have we got the best group? Yes. And I really believe that.
“No matter where we finish in this league, we’ve got a club to be really proud of and we can’t do that without the people who support us.”
