Bradford Bulls blessed by returning star for Widnes trip

Bradford Bulls head coach Francis Cummins has been able to welcome back Chev Walker from suspension this weekend, as his injury woes continue.

All in all, Cummins has been forced to leave three senior players out of his squad – with Matt Diskin, Adam Sidlow and Jamie Foster all set to miss the trip to Halton through injury.

However, the return of Walker is a timely boost, with the former Leeds man likely to deputise in the front row in the absence of Sidlow. Youngsters Nathan Conroy and Alex Mellor also make the squad, with Conroy expected to feature due to the injury to hooker Diskin.

Bradford Bulls 19-man squad to face Widnes (Select Security Stadium, Sunday, 3pm): Addy, Blythe, Bridge, Conroy, Donaldson, Gale, Kear, Kearney, Henry, Mellor, Manuokafoa, Mullally, O’Brien, Olbison, Purtell, Roberts, Sutcliffe, Walker, Wood.
