Bradford Bulls head coach Francis Cummins believes there is potential for the club to strengthen their squad even further ahead of their clash against St Helens on Sunday, but admits it is dependent on several factors.
The Bulls managed to complete a deal for Huddersfield prop Antonio Kaufusi at the last minute prior to their win over Warrington last weekend, and Cummins is hopeful of a similar deal being pushed through – although not quite as last-minute this time.
“There is prospects; I hope it doesn’t go right down to the wire like Kaufusi last week because we were desperate. I was looking at using just one prop going into the Warrington game but we managed to get him in right at the last minute.
“You’re reliant on other clubs, agents and all kinds of other stuff. You have your plans but they don’t always come off in the way that you would like them to, in all honesty.
“There’s the old Huddersfield clause in there for Magic Weekend in terms of Kaufusi, so hopefully we can get someone in to replace him in that respect when it comes to playing Huddersfield.”
