BRODIE CROFT admits it is ‘really pleasing’ to see a new Salford rise from the ashes following the Red Devils’ demise in 2025.
Croft, who made 55 appearances for Salford in 2022 and 2023, has been with Leeds Rhinos for two seasons now.
However, there was a time when the 28-year-old was a firm fans’ favourite at the Salford Community Stadium.
And, following the financial troubles that the former Super League club faced last season, Croft is happy to see the fans get some deserved respite, hailing Ryan Brierley in his new role as chief executive.
“It’s really pleasing particularly for the fans. There are so many great fans and people involved with the club,” Croft told League Express.
“To see what they went through last year was quite tough. But with Ryan Brierley there now, who is a good mate of mine, it’s really good to see that he’s taken that role on and with him there, good things will happen around him.”
Croft is also happy to see his former boss Paul Rowley earn a big move to St Helens.
“I’m excited for Rowls (Paul Rowley). I’ve already told him to take it easy on me when we play them later in the year!
“I’m looking forward to him having that role at Saints because he deserves all the success he gets.
“He’s a really good coach that brought out a lot of really good attributes of me.”
