Campese excited by World Club Series motivation

Hull KR captain Terry Campese admits the possibility of competing in next year’s World Club Series is a huge motivation to help them lift the Challenge Cup.

It was revealed yesterday that the winners of the cup will take part in the 2015 World Club Series alongside the league leaders and the Grand Final winners – which gives KR a chance of competing in the tournament next season.

And although injured at the moment, Campese admits the team have shifted their focus from the disappointment of not making the top eight, and they’re suitably prepared to take on Warrington on Saturday.

“The chance to play in the World Club Challenge Series if we win the cup is exciting for the club. It gives the team even more incentive to win the next two cup matches,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.

“My focus has been to get the boys to forget what’s happened in the last couple of weeks,” Campese told the Mail.

“We need them to be focused on the job at hand and put all the focus on to the weekend.

“We went for a team lunch on Tuesday just to try and relax the players and get everybody on the same page.
