DANNY LEVI has been released from hospital following a sickening head clash in Leeds Rhinos’ 36-34 loss to Castleford Tigers.
The hooker’s injury forced a ten-minute delay late in the first half as he received treatment from the medical teams at both clubs.
He was sent to hospital for assessment but has now received the all-clear to return home.
“We would like to wish Danny a speedy recovery,” said Leeds in a statement.
Head coach Brad Arthur said after the match: “He came to when he came off the field with numbness which is always likely when you get a whack like that.
“It wasn’t nice to see. You could see when the boys went over to him that they didn’t like the look of him.
“His wife was so strong in the tunnel. We just hope that he’s alright.”
On the result, Arthur questioned his side’s attitude to defend.
The Rhinos led 16-0 and 30-16 at stages of the game, but capitulated on two occasions to let the Tigers back into proceedings.
He said: “We kept inviting them back into it. Physically we were very good with the ball but we didn’t do the other (defensive) part of it.
“Our attitude to defend wasn’t good enough. We got quite a bit wrong with poor collisions and tackles and that’s an attitude check.
“I didn’t really talk much at the end of the game as the lads said what I was thinking.”
