Ex-St Helens and Hull KR star Adam Quinlan lands head coaching role

FORMER St Helens and Hull KR star Adam Quinlan has been appointed to a head coach role.

Quinlan, who spent one season at Saints and five with Rovers, has been named number one at Queanbeyan Kangaroos, who compete in the Canberra Raiders Cup.

His appointment comes after the Kangaroos reached the grand final in 2025 but narrowly lost the final against the Queanbeyan Blues, 28-26.

During his time with Saints in 2015, the 33-year-old scored six tries in 12 appearances, but Quinlan is most known for his spell at Craven Park.

From 2017 until the end of the 2021 Super League season, the fullback scored 30 tries in 59 appearances before hanging up his boots.

“Please join with us in congratulating and warmly welcoming our newly appointed 2026 first-grade coach – Adam Quinlan,” a statement from the Kangaroos read.

“Adam needs no introduction. A former NRL player with over 100 first-grade appearances for St George Dragons, St Helens and Hull Kingston Rovers.

“Adam brings the perfect blend of elite experience, leadership, and work ethic.”
