Five players have been suspended after appearing before an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal this evening following offences committed in Round 5 of the First Utility Super League.
Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook of St Helens was suspended for two matches and fined £300 after pleading guilty to the Grade C offence of making dangerous contact with Catalan Dragons player Leon Pryce in the 57th minute of a fixture played on Friday March 14.
Jeff Lima of Catalan Dragons was suspended for two matches and fined £300 after being found guilty of making dangerous contact with St Helens forward Kyle Amor in the same fixture.
Michael Lawrence of Huddersfield Giants was banned for one match and fined £300 after pleading guilty to the Grade B charge of making dangerous contact with James Donaldson in the third minute of a fixture played on Sunday March 16.
Huddersfield Giants player Scott Grix was fined £300 after pleading guilty to the Grade B offence of kicking out in a 77th-minute tackle in the same fixture.
Chev Walker of Bradford Bulls was suspended for one match and fined £300 after pleading guilty to the Grade B offence of striking Luke Robinson of Huddersfield Giants with his shoulder in the 20th minute of the same match.
Micky Paea of Hull FC was suspended for two matches and fined £300 after being found guilty of the Grade B offence of making dangerous contact with Richard Owen of Castleford Tigers in the 79th minute of a fixture against Hull FC on Sunday February 16.
The hearing into a Grade C charge of making contact with a match official brought against Jordan Tansey of Castleford Tigers versus Hull FC was adjourned and will be heard on Wednesday (March 19) afternoon.
