A brief explanation of a very old TotalRL.com rule...

This is a Rugby League website. That's why it is called Total Rugby League.

If you are interested only in rugby union, and not Rugby League, you are on the wrong website. We suggest you go back to Google and find somewhere else to play. There are lots of alternatives out there.

Some people who like and appreciate Rugby League also like and appreciate rugby union. We get that.

That's why we have a'cross-code' forum on here where our members can discuss rugby union topics if they want to, whilst avoiding upsetting the vast majority of our members who do not want to discuss rugby union, because they are Rugby League fans, on a Rugby League website.

However, if you are new here, you won't immediately be able to find the cross-code forum. That's because you need to accumulate 100 genuine posts across any of the other sections of our forum before being able to view or post on the cross-code forum.

It's our defence mechanism against those who just want to join here in order to troll. Strange as it may seem, such people do exist, and can be annoyingly persistent.

We think that if someone can accumulate 100 posts discussing Rugby League matters without falling foul of the forum rules, not only have they demonstrated they have a genuine interest in Rugby League (an essential prerequisite for joining a Rugby League forum, in our view) they can also be trusted to post responsibly and within our rules on cross-code matters, where tempers can tend to fray much more quickly.

Please be aware that if you start threads - or disrupt other threads - discussing rugby union on any part of our forums other than the cross-code forum, you will be met with a rather frosty reception from our members and the moderators, to the extent that your thread/posts will probably be deleted and you will be banned from posting again.
