  1. The Bears were out enthused by a better team on the day. Well done on WWR on a great win on the day. A lot of people deserve a day in the sun and hopefully a great night out for them tonight. No complaints from the Coventry camp.

  3. ..... And in style too. 44-16 Wales has so much potential for the game I really hope they go further.

  5. Do people think that the previous council would honestly pursue a bigger stadium without the knowledge of the full backing of sellafield and the nhs? These are negotiations going back over 2 years. Cast iron agreements are arranged once final planning is agreed. The stadium passed planning but clowncillor jenkinsons personal hatred of mark fryer has cost the entire area and it’s future generations facilities fit for purpose. Sad times.

  6. There are all sorts of bizarre Moon related conspiracy theories out there. For example, just last year, some people in Leeds convinced themselves that he's a stand-off.

  8. Having played 15 games this season in league 1, lost all 15 and conceded an average of 54 points a game, West Wales have beaten Coventry Bears 44-16 today. Must be a great moment for them...I'm thinking Doncaster finally winning against Huyton in Another Bloody Sunday, except Coventry have enjoyed more success this season than Huyton had.

  11. I'm so happy for you and Damien that you're perfect citizens with your internationally recognised achievements in your field of work, that you've never put a foot wrong, that's some going! "wasted" is massively disrespectful, he achieved more than tens of thousands of other pro RL player. So average that he was Young Player of the Year, so average that he gained international honours and remain in a team at the top of the pile. Using Peacock as a yardstick to decree a player as average and wasted is utterly bonkers! I don't 'like' Hock, some of the outhouse stuff he's done on th

  13. I love the wording, " no high level agreement". Well yeah, obviously, as the stadium was still in the design and procurement stages, which then leads to contract placing, contractual agreements etc. So it's another disgusting twisting of facts by the oaf and his pathetic weasly bottom feeding mates.

  14. It is a superb classic logo, I don't understand why they didn't simply retain both the nickname and logo when we switched from GB to England. We have England Knights and GB Lions, so its odd the first team is simply called England and have no nickname (I'm going to ignore the seemingly and thankfully now defunct "Wall of White").

  15. You struggle to grasp how people could claim to believe something that flies in the face of the evidence, ignore facts and logic and rely on increasingly complex conspiracy theories, fake stories, deflection and outright lies to support their positions? I can see no parallels here. None. not a one. no sirree Bob, not a one.

  21. Really good player, could have been even better but he didn't have the mindset. Played against him every year as a kid and he was a standout player but his attitude and sportsmanship stunk. There's being hard and competitive and theres being a total pr!ck too. He swayed more to the latter.

  25. Hull kr or anyone else shouldn’t be relying on Saints beating teams to keep them in Super League, it’s every clubs responsibility to win enough games, bottom team goes down, simple as that.

  26. I don't think this is a case of all in,it's a couple of signings when push comes to shove. I just think it's a pointless waste of money which could be used elsewhere. Let's be truthful,we aren't going up this year, twp,Toulouse,Fev and York deserve it more. Given the fact we were rattling the collection buckets just prior to the season leaves me with a feeling that we were misinformed over the clubs finances because there's no way the supporters (certainly in the current economic uncertainty) have thrown this much money at the club. Mitch Clark is a loan as I understand so financially I'm not

  29. Your absolutely right. And I still totally disagree with it. Weather its my club or any other club it needs scrapping. Its just spoiling my favourite sport. Clubs managed without it before and can do again. Its like leigh splashing the cash like it's going out of fashion, but for what they aint gonna get into sl and begin they know it they will be in financial difficulties again. You would have thought they would have learned by now, suppose old habits die hard.

  31. Lovely Letchworth then.... Played cricket there many a time but not explored its obvious beauty beyond that ? If the ockers can play then I say get them in but I agree continuing the excellent youth development more important. If the academy side plays in double headers at ET I sometimes end up sharing the bus out of Vallis way some of them. They are polite enough to nod and smile to an oldish amateur's drivel!

  32. I live in the world's first garden city, not the copycat London overspill town ? I like cycling around Luton on occasion, the hills aren't too tasking for this fat old fart though I'm usually in the granny gear long before I get anywhere near the top? I think the novelty of 'London' wears pretty quickly, yes there's a lot going on and for after work drinks you're spoilt for choice but you can get a lot of entertainment in Manchester and Leeds with far more bang for your buck housing wise. £50k salary in the North can get you a comfortable lifestyle and buy a house, £50K in London and it m

  38. You say that BSJ, but we have, on numerous occasions this season, seen them make things up on the hoof. Take the Toronto match as an example you may have seen, where they knock on and we fly hack it forward but they get the ball from the kick, so we gain no advantage, so we get the scrum. Fine with that. Then in the same game, the same thing happens, they knock on, we kick it forward and they retrieve the ball. This time, he advises the Batley player was offside from the kick through, so gives a penalty to Toronto. Then explains it was given because Batley had taken advantage because

  43. IMO the GB ‘Lion’ logo is an absolute classic bit of Graphic Design, haven’t got a clue who did it but it’s absolutely perfect, now this may sound a bit like hyperbole but it’s up there with the apple logo for simplicity and execution. Anyway, my point being I’m glad to see it back, even just to see it actually being used again.

  44. Not only when it is a close game. We see many of the same sentiments expressed when the score's one-sided. Basically, some people get their kicks from deluding themselves that they are "telling it like it is", when they are just regurgitating the same old lines every match.

  47. Having a chuckle though. TWP first season, Leigh fans couldn't contain their dislike of Wolfpack, called us Leigh Rejects. Now two years later, they're welcoming players back with open arms. Brierley and Higson are good lads and both very popular in Toronto. Fans are wishing them well in Leigh. We even had a soft spot for Jake Emmitt. Can't wait for the home game on Sept 7.

  48. Nobody has said Leigh shouldnt sign players or even quality players. But the way the Leigh club treated players like Kevin Larroyer and a couple of others was nothing short of a disgrace last year. The Leigh Centurions were under a signing ban as well for a while under the current people until they sorted the dispute with Larroyer and another then player out. A person like Derek Beaumont has no morals and is not somebody many people would be proud of to have involved in their club. Maybe he should have been banned from the game for a period after last year. Its angers people Leigh/Beaumon
