  1. You might want to give this one a go, they are better than restaurant naans. https://www.food.com/recipe/madhur-jaffreys-naan-bread-446809 Hot pizza stone under a very hot grill gives perfect results.
  2. No it isn't. It clearly states "Obituary Thread". I can't be bothered tracking back, but don't remember many positive comments when Mugabe croaked. Allow opinions good or bad, or take the thread down.
  3. I thought it was just me. Loads of people raving about this stuff for years, it's horrible - doesn't even make decent toast.
  4. I have the builders in at the moment and have had to take my TV out of use. Not missing it one bit, but am reading some very good books.
  5. Sauce of any hue on bacon is the work of the Prince of Darkness.
  6. Funniest female impersonator of the Python crew.
  7. I suppose it's possible that they found your response a cliche. It's one of those phrases that make an interviewers eyes glaze over like "I'm too much of a perfectionist".
  8. I'm going to don my tin hat now. Regardless of the panning given by the likes of the "clever" folk on BBC "comedy" shows such as HIGNFY*, I've been reading a few of Jeffrey Archer's novels. I've found them very entertaining so far, particularly "First Among Equals" and "Kane and Abel". I'm currently reading "As The Crow Flies", which is somehow reminiscent of R.F. Delderfield's "Dreaming Suburb". Recommended. *The BBC should be sued under the Trades Descriptions Act for the unfunny drivel that they put out as comedy nowadays, it's pathetic.
  9. Favourite Oldham shirt. The blue away version was also very good. Not long after, this train wreck of a kit enriched all our lives:- It looked even worse from behind:- So, to make amends, they came up with this huge improvement "Shirt from Hell 2" Kind of reflected how things at the club were going...
  10. She does have two good points though...
  11. "Modded" hatchbacks with ridiculously loud exhaust pipes, should be an instant MOT failure. Vehicles are supposed to be checked. Why are so many on the road? Scare my dog worse than the fireworks.
  12. I think that it beggars belief that in this day and age we are happy to sell explosives over the counter to anybody who wants them. They should be banned.
  13. 95 Celcius is the magic number, I'm led to believe.
  14. Glenlivet obviously let the cat out of the bag early with this press release. Long time until 1st of April. What in the name of God were they thinking? Recently graduated "marketing whizz" by any chance - anything to do with Alan Sugar d'ya think? I suppose they'd make a nice change from my cod liver oil capsules in the morning...
  15. Food of the Gods Bearman, looks fantastic. We're lucky to have an excellent chippy just round the corner. Still outstandingly good value for money in this day and age.
  16. Very few so far, mostly to positions with the company on other sites. As our business needs to run as normal for the next year or so, we've been offered very good redundancy terms, along with retention / loyalty bonuses. Even the employees with very little service are looking at leaving with £15k plus in their pockets.
  17. Can sympathise. We all (200+) go early in 2020.
  18. Laphroaig 10 on at my local Tesco for £28. Happy days.
  19. Peculiar, isn't it? Twenty or so years ago, I remember flocks of 20-40 lapwings being commonplace. On our local moors, we used to have many skylarks singing on the wing during the summer months. Seemed like every few hundred yards or so. Good to see 'em coming back though. We do still have more curlews than many areas, though.
