I love Adrian Belew's playing on that album.
-
The photo of him diving over in the corner in the 1965 Challenge Cup Final is one of the greatest ever action shots.

You're absolutely spot on about the preponderance of all Super League ties. They sometimes feel just like another loop fixture and it just doesn't sit right that you've only had to win four games to win the thing, whoever those games were against. The change in format has brought variety and generated interest in the competition as well as producing some great stories.

Great to see.

Great stuff.
-
Goole's in their territory and they've been giving them a lot of coverage so you'd imagine so.
-
Great sporting gestures from Leeds, Saints and Hull this weekend.
-
It's a lot more encouraging than this time last year when it was already obvious what we were in for.
-
Hull's Old Town was the same last weekend. Good to see.

Great song. I always loved Gallows Pole and Immigrant Song is one the greatest ever album openers. -
Terrific try, he looks some player.

Army 16-16 RAF now. Really impressed with the standard of this game. Some very good players and good skills on show.

Must be at least twenty years between the first and the most recent time I saw them but they're still one of the best live bands around: -
Merry Christmas one and all!

My recent experience of the Old Cheshire Cheese in Fleet Street would tend to back this up, full of people on their phones and nobody gave a monkey's.

I've often wondered why the Rugby Tavern, a busy Sam Smith's pub in Hull city centre, closed down and has remained closed for so long. Judging by that article it sounds like that sort of thing often happens to Sam Smith's pubs.

Hull FC bought by Multi-Millionaire partnership
Ullman replied to MZH's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Been clear for a long time that the club needed new blood and new money but I am pleased to see the article say Adam Pearson will stay on in a consultancy capacity. It's not going to be a quick fix and we wouldn't want it to be but as you say, onwards and upwards hopefully. -
Train every time, wouldn't even contemplate travelling to London by coach.

I can't really remember, mate, but I think the most likely route would have been the old fashioned cheque in the post to the RFL.
