The visitors needed a drop goal & a try in the last minute

  6. La Bodega will show the Top 14 Championship on the TV after the game at 9 o'clock. TO are having games with primary schools and followed by U17 Finals before the Sheffield match
  7. At the moment a huge pic of the CXIII captain is mounted (Bastien Escamilla) across from the gates into town La Bastide! rugby league here is well known
  8. I can only say that in his six years playing here he has never been sent-off. Never in trouble
  9. 8 French 5 English 4 Down Under That was the Dragons on Saturday against Wigan. Two weeks now on top. Probably change against Hull KR with three quarters in Keighran and Davies. Was thinking that about that game against England at Warrington last April. I think it would have been a bit different if the the French forwards who played at Newcastle had played Bousquet, Navarrete, Seguier, Dezaria and skipper Garcia.
  10. Results up today U15 Albi 18-24 Carcassonne U17 Baho 22--22 XIIl Catalans (decided on goals 4-3 to Baho) U19 Dragons 32-12 Villeneuve/Lot Elite 1 Women Dragons 22-14 Lescure * Yesterday Dragons Wheel chairs 56-33 Montauban
  11. First time TO will take at York Saturday with 4 from the Dragons Chan (8 matches Super League), Laguerre (6 matches Super League), Scimone and Castano
  12. Limoux taking 7 bus loads including the father of Jason Clark on his sons last game
  13. With Dean Whare also. The Kiwi played at Wembley in a World Cup and I think Norman played for Queensland in Origin
  14. The Dragons will have 3 sides at Narbonne on the weekend : U19s against Villeneuve/Lot Womens team's against Lescure from the Tarn The Wheel chair team against Montauban from near Toulouse
  15. I think the size of towns shoud be taken in. Villfranche has 12,000 double of Illé-sur-Tet. Pia has 10;000 as does Limoux
  16. Results today At Pamiers Elite 2 Ille-sur-Tete 25-18 Villefranche (The winners had two former Dragons in half back Remi Marginet and forward Thibaut Magalet) U19s Cup Toulouse Olympique 24-14 Carcassonne At Pia National 3rd division Palau 23-20 Ferrals Federal 4th division Le Val Xlll 27-14 Pujols (latter is a combination between several villages in Servies en Val and those at Lagrasse Val d' Orbieu)
  17. Pamiers are coming back not just hosting this weekend. It's often in France clubs put the 'key under the door' to come back years later. Val XIII who are in the matchs this weekend have only just come back! The villages involved are Servies - en Val and Rieux- en Val with a joint population of 350 just off the main road between Carcassonne and Lezignan
  18. The picture of him with Tomkins after the Saints game - marvellous!!
  19. In yesterdays ‘L’Equipe’ the directer general of the France 2025 Michel Wiener seemed to say the goverrment was going to make-up in some way, « L’État va aider le rugbyà XIII à se développer avec des tournées dans l’hemisphère Nord and Sud notamment » « Dans un pays ou seuls les Dragons Catalans évoluent au plus haut niveau européen, cette décis- -ion sonne comme une énorme désillusion alors que le equipes nationals majeures . » There was a problem in that the country have only one team were in countries like England /Australia have many.
  20. Other games decided this Saturday at Pamiers - U19 cup between Toulouse - Carcassonne/ Elite 2 Ille-sur-Tet (Perpignan) - Villefranche (Aveyron) at Pia - National 3rd division Ferrals (Lezignan) - Palau (Perpignan)/ Federal 4th division Val (Corbières) - Pujols (Villeneuve/Lot)
  21. The local 'L'Indepenant' newspaper saw it up the Canaris",had to work like mad" for this one. Complely different from the Cup Final in Perpigan. Gigot was everywhere with his passes and kicking. Albi where in front 5 minutes from the end. Escare's super try full length killed the visitors. Carcassonne now going to Narbonne for Final & win both cup & championship. Great game yesterday, need two to make it. Albi on the field and off it building for next year. Need more teams like this to make Elite 1, bring on more to make it worth it.

  23. See Gigot score a late try. Pia were in it up to half-time 10-2. The Catalan side has some youngsters, they've done ok including beating Carcassonne on their own ground. I reckon they'll be better next year. Albi this year with Gigot and Miloudi have moved up. See that around 2,000 where there yesterday.
  24. Been great watching Gigot this year in his later days. His effort at Limoux eartier when his Albi side were done for was marvelous. Thinking of his best days. Playing at Nou Camp and Anfield. The only Frenchmen to ever win the Lance Todd Trophy at Wembley. He'll be down the road from me Saturday at Stade Albert Domec for the championship semi-final against Carcassonne. Looking forward to it.
