  1. at least ours cover the entire pitch,,,, st helens touchlines are in complete darkness
  2. i remember operating the scoreboard when i was just tall enough to climb up to it and playing Widnes in the snow when we were'nt expected to win but did, i threw a snowball at the widnes players standing behind the posts when we scored and it hit Mick Burke in the back, i crapped my pants when he turned round and stared at me lol
  3. I'll see if my mate next door can get cctv equipment and fit it cheap, it's his job and a bit of side work might help him and the club out
  4. the bit i can see of it looks good to me
  5. Could be just mebeing thick but. I was going to turn up on Tuesday to buy my new shirt on the say so of a poster on here, is it just me or have the club said nothing official about a launch night in the first place. I've just re checked the website before this post and I can't find anything from them to make us all get our butts down there on whatever nght it ends up being. andif my memory serves didn't prostar knack it up last year too? and Kooga before them.
  6. The way he charges full tilt towards the defence with no fear for his or their safety i don't think we need to worry about his size, lets just hope he's got the nouse to give the wngers the good ball whenever possible.
  7. I love a quiz you've not got anywhere close on the game, to the knowledge needed too many patrols on water lane sorry
  8. If it's on telly on the 15th it'll be about 2 hours before we see it in the clubhouse if the post near the top is correct
  9. a level playing field for all teams, you earn the right to play at the top level rather than being on the wish list of the top dog, hence clubs like Keighly would be able to gain greater attendances instead of having stay aways bcause of the lobsided way the RFL go about their business, the knock on effect is that better sponsorship deals can be done because businesses don't see the "other" RL clubs as damp squibs. And before anybody has a go about "how do i know franchises make some people stay away" well i know at least 10 who won't come to watch fev as they can't see the point when there is no reward, i bet we all know at least one if we're honest. If it was London, Celtic or Wigan who were flirtingwith folding the RFL would undoubtably help them financially as they have before but do you think they will plough money into Keighley, Gateshead and for that matter wakefield.
  10. Doom and gloom Thats the spirit???? And we haven't even lost a game yet lol
  11. And hope the 3 children of the deceased Police Constable can combat their grief with the knowledge that their dad was a true hero dying while saving the lives of that community
  12. more chance of 2-3000 watching you play touch and pass though i hope i'm wrong
  13. I got mine last Friday (although it was bought before the first deadline) as a wedding present from my wife, if the number on the receipt is anything to go by we are over the 1000 (2025)
  14. heard last night that a nominal fee has been paid and they have been given 10 days to pay 80k or the HMRC will issue a winding up order
  15. I stand what i said when the licensing proposition was brought in by the rfl, in it's bid to help us compete with the Aussies.............................................. I HOPE WE GET STUFFED IN EVERY INTERNATIONAL until the RFL do the right thing and create a level playing field where any team has the chance to play at the top level by performances on the field..... you know like a sport. Then and only then might i feel patriotic again.
