Obviously, there is. If there wasn't then you'd not be seeing virtually all of England/GB's highest attendances being in London. I do know though that you like to believe that nobody outside the pre-existing, very small communities that already have RL has any interest in the game because you, uniquely, have never been able to have a positive conversation with anyone new about the game.

Division Four is always mad but seems especially so this year. They said on the radio yesterday that Walsall were 12 points clear in the middle of January.

I do think Beaumont is a massive block to the game reaching a solution to most things. His ego is a problem as is the inability he shares with many of the other owners in genuinely believing the game's footprint can expand - as we can see by how they actively move to contract when given the choice. But he's very good for Leigh and Leigh are an example for other clubs to follow in terms of promotion, match day experience, investment etc.

Seen this shared. Truro City and Carlisle United are in the same division next season.

If you have a Bet365 account then the games are on their live stream.

No. Urban legend.

It is because it was the decider between the National League and the American League and there’s a shortage of options for your play off series if you can’t use American or National but you still want to sell it.

Film Thread (What have you been watching?)

Not for everyone but currently on the BBC iPlayer and, in my view, a simply brilliant film. Hlynur Pálmason know what he's doing - and it's a lovely performance by his daughter at some key moments as well. -

NRL expansion (Merged Threads)

There is massive variation across a small league that is playing a sport popular in pockets but not really having mass appeal everywhere. Remind you of anyone? -

USARL 2025 - Here We Go Again!

Not sure there's anything suspicious about it - certainly not in the sense of any malign outside influence or fifth columnists. It's just a never-ending weeing contest between people who value looking big in their community over any kind of consensus building. -
Not sure what happened there at all - my fat fingers must have done something weird to their Facebook page when I looked before. It’s proper busy - good to see.

I must have my settings set up wrong as I couldn't see anything that recent. Will re check.

That would mean a random midweek match in England most years and, according to the French on here a few times, a match over there on the worst possible day to play it.

Pacifique Treize’s funding and partnerships seem to mostly be Australian. Not that they seem to have updated any of their pages since early last year.

Watched 48 Hrs. for the first time in a very, very long time. Nolte is great, Murphy is great. The film … has not aged well. It’s just a bit meh. -
Salford financial issues(again…)
gingerjon replied to LeytherRob's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Sports clubs have gone bust in the past after taking out loans against future income, either TV or ticket sales, including season tickets. -

Blue and pink smoke, a crowd of 328, and a new band of drum beating ultras ... all at 11am in one of the most genteel parts of East Sussex. But Little Common stay in the SCFL Premier with a 1-0 win over local rivals Bexhill United.

Even if they'd loved it, they'd have changed the structure within 3 years. They always do.
