I know you are quite right about the standard of RL on offer at that time, and the quality of pitches played on, but......the enjoyment I had attending games along with the involvement with the players and club were far better than today. Every Sunday seemed like a party, before the game, during and especially afterwards. Maybe rose tinted glasses, but I don't think so.

Sorry to say, I don't think we will announce anything until the next game is out of the way. Hopefully, with a win giving us a chance of staying up. The budget we have for player's or coach and his backroom team, will depend upon which league we are in. Another defeat will result in a different list of candidates for coach in a lower league.

Fully agree, it's not been a real news paper for a long time. I don't know anyone who buys it any longer. This is the biggest reason to have our website as up to date with information on matches, players and news as possible. This is where most fans will look, not the Dewsbury Reporter.

I thought similar things last night as I watched the game, also just how much Henderson "gushed" about the wonderful Mark Ashton and Sheffield. However, they must have a number of people behind the scenes who are dedicated and have bags of enthusiasm to keep driving the club forward. Maybe we could learn a few things from them.
