  1. You’re a cherry little chap. it’s called living within your means…
  2. Various Welsh RU papers reporting RG been offered to Welsh clubs. Big shame if true he’s off - think he’s great for our game, real talent with pace to burn - decent lad too. Why would anyone want to play in the car crash that is Wales RU? Anyone heard anything ?
  3. Have you ever parked there? Absolutely unbelievable stadium got planning permission (Peel !!) with no proper access road - and a car park with one road in snd out. The poor access helped trash attendances. Salford signed worst commercial deal ever in history of sport at the stadium. A ten year old could have realised 8k B/E too high - snd zero income from food sales, not even a rider… Only rugby league could see a club forced from his own - owned - stadium, with support from a pro RL council - and end up homeless (after being owned by a multi millionaire) I really hope this works out…
  4. Including their own fans - Sale must have lost a fortune this year
  5. Absolutely- poor post from a pro player (who need protecting). RFL at fault too as response was OTT and not measured…
  6. Agree - should have been in the bin for second incident…
  7. What’s your point - ML was a visionary - the sport would not be on tv and played in dilapidated stadiums (like Cas and Wakefield) without him
  8. Make sure everyone comments on the HYS on the BBC sport rugby league page - we can all do our bit to raise the profile of the game by commenting
  9. Spot on Davy has earned our respect - so too for ML, no mergers too place and he dragged our sport out of the swamp of old decrepit stadiums - any failing are the result of later management not capitalising on his visionary progress
  10. I’m a Wigan pie eating fanatic….but you can’t help but like and respect this man…
  11. It’s a start….it’s in Sheffield….it’s home. this is true good news
  12. First step - get your own home to put down roots…(tick)…..now anything’s possible (London et al - take note)
  13. The entry bar to the league too high. Few years ago NWC instigated massive fines for missing games - clearly aimed at clubs with ru players. Don’t necessarily blame them as entry rules are the rules - however getting enough players of good enough standard to play full ARL season huge step for new clubs - feels just a step too far. Need some sort of entry level comp. RFL Manchester summer company launches first tournament tomorrow- this might help create new clubs with a view to moving in upwards.
  14. I help run a junior club in Greater Manchester. My advice is get as many helpers as you can. You’ll find jobs for them - more the merrier. Schools key. Ask RFL if they have any details of local volunteers- we picked a cracking coach up from contacting them… we share RU ground -with everything that entails. problems faced too many to list - local RU club banning ‘their’ players from having anything to do with us highlight. Constant early season fixture juggle big headache.
  15. The shame that league was banned….how on earth was this allowed ?
