  1. I agree. It could have been done a long time ago by the clubs though. They are paying consultants fees for some things they could have done themselves anyway.
  2. The NRL were publishing videos minutes after tries were scored in the recent England internationals. Their websites, per club, are organised and of similar structure. Im chuffed that these things are getting done but the templates have been there for years. Clubs should have sorted this out themselves.
  3. And sky can’t even get Kevin’s name right. Ffs, the amount of effort and money they’ve raised. “Rob Burrows and Kevin Seinfeld awarded CBEs by Prince William”
  4. Last sentence is spot on. I’ve never understood why simplicity can’t be seen as positive.
  5. The ‘test’ is without dropping down and what is used mostly. Of course, the addition of dropping down is a different option! Character building

  7. Certainly not Callum Walker standard It’s good to see the game being spoken about in Forbes. They are not small time press.
  8. He was indeed. One of only a handful of players I didn’t want to see get the ball when he played Hull. I still think his first season was good. followed the NRL 2014 season and remember the two top fullbacks were Slater and Inglis. Sam scored as regularly as both them without the opportunities and also in a hit & miss side. Cruel injury but a champion player.
  9. Good guy, Phil Clarke. Wish him all the best.

  11. Well, fancy that. Laughter aside, it’s going to be interesting to how these games generate development interest as well as future income streams. V’Landys seems to think they are on the cusp of generating something big. Not sure if the Wire v Wigan game in circa 1989 was for league points? or whether the Eng v NZ game was for WC standings points but these NRL games are, so we should see fully committed teams.
  12. Out of interest, does anyone have a link or evidence to show this venture was about growing RL in the USA?
  13. It would be interesting to see how many others on here have identified noticeable pitch discrepancies/ makings etc. Any coach worth his salt would have already identified how to deal with them but I doubt the average fan would even be bothered.
  14. UFC confirming partnership etc https://www.zerotackle.com/nrl-announces-partnership-with-ufc-204167/
  15. One piece I read today said 20k so far and another (LV outlet) 18000. I doubt it’ll be 25k but wouldn’t be surprised if it is close with freebies from the 9s comp, UFC & NASCAR dignitaries plus the public walk ups, which I read is usually a few thousand. Maybe Kylie will rally round her colleagues too?
  16. Good that they are including work with USA RL. I don’t personally see issues with RU invites or attendance. Those who haven’t played RL before will soon see they are more involved.
  17. As the game gets closer it’s interesting to see what additional content/ingredients - grassroots, Ed W Clark trial, UFC backing (Joe Rogan has also mentioned similar on his podcasts), NASCAR - are added, pre game. Makes for a compelling lead up to the game.
  18. For those interested, there are also a few Elite 2 and Federale clubs that film and publish their games on YT if you are at a loose end!
  19. Full 1st team game is also on YT as well as the U19s game.
  20. The link says that it will be for clubs to monitor themselves.
