  1. I was asking about attendances in Irish Club Soccer in regards to when they switched to running in the summer.
  2. Have you compared the attendances before and after the switch?
  3. I'm surprised we didn't sign him, we've signed 90% of our ex players back.
  4. This just sounds like it will be a England Vs Combined Nations again when it comes to the scoreboard
  5. I am honestly confused - A tri game? Australia played PNG in the first half and then Fiji in the second? I can't say I have heard about this before ..... I have since googled it.. I can't say I had heard about it before, 3 matches that are all 40 minutes apiece instead of 80. https://www.rnz.co.nz/international/pacific-news/341559/sport-rugby-league-tri-series-a-perfect-test-for-fiji-png Either way, it doesn't sound that great. Probably why it hasn't been seen again in 6 years.
  6. How do you weaken the main England team without using the England Knights brand? You can't just say - we can exclude the NRL players, we have enough in SL to still put 50 + on every other NH team, barring France. So how else do you weaken it? How do you put a "second string" in there? Say don't worry to the likes of Welsby, etc. we're giving England debuts to players not as good.
  7. But in this "press release" it mentions that this Samoa tour is supposed to coincide with a tournament of NH countries. There needs to be an awful lot more done for the NH game then just having England beat Scotland by 50+.
  8. Followed up by a second one - 2 in one day! Have to say I am abit disappointed with how long the video is, it isn't just a LB highlights issue, it seems to be for all of SL/Championship, we have an 80 minute match but apparently the highlights of each game can be cut to 3 minutes for most matches, cutting out anything that isn't a try usually.
  9. *heavily discounted, not free. This is the RFL we're talking about.
  10. Not confirmed but it feels like the best bit of news we've had in awhile. *cough* London test please *cough*
  11. 1pm and still no new video on their YT
  12. Most interesting part is the training video on YT coming out. It's been a year since the last video that wasn't an inconsistent highlights video was uploaded on their YT. Hopefully they continue making more content for all of their platforms.
  13. Star Wars? Thought that may be too modern for you to know about Harry
  14. I can only hope he means that in the re-negotiations of Salford getting more bar takings, etc. they will also be able to negotiate to pay less rent on top of that.
  15. It can't be that far from the truth, the only statement that I have read from the council or a councillor (I cannot recall his exact position) didn't exactly give the impression that they were best pleased with their current relationship with SRD. They even mentioned how Sale had been good tenants in contrast. Unless you have something else that might give another impression? Doesn't the tenancy run out December 1st, we're fast approaching the end of November, I am not sure if SRD have that much time.
  16. The problem is that the council seem to be getting less and less interested in effectively subsidising a professional RL team in their city. The thing with applying pressure is that usually it comes from a position of strength, and after the amount of money the council has probably lost in regards to SRD, the pressure is very much building from the opposite side as well.
  17. I think the main issue is quite obviously the ground, but you seem to be downplaying that issue as well. Salford have never been able to pay their full rent, and that is actually quite embarrassing. While they were doing this, they spent quite a lot of money on players instead of paying their rent. The ground is a huge issue that is totally of Salford's making. 300k in player sales doesn't seem to be helping much.
  18. Looking at the standard of our sponsors for the last ... 10? years, any sponsor is better than nothing. We didn't even have a main shirt sponsor last year until the playoffs. I guess that also helps for just having what is essentially a black t-shirt.. Most sponsors should be able to integrate onto it relatively easily.
  19. Surely every club that wasn't put into in SL at its inception were denied access? So probably where they are now.
  20. I just don't understand how people can keep looking at that as the reason they are where they are today. If cougarmania was that big then you would have thought it could have helped them get into SL later on and stay there. HKR won the 3rd division that year and are now a comfortable SL club, likewise Hull being in the 2nd division also.
  21. At the present moment in time - Absolutely nothing can change what the NRL does other than the NRL, and they won't change anything unless there is a significant amount of money involved. Who knows what might happen in 5 + years of the NRL playing games in the US - Perhaps they may want to re-create an interentional in Vegas mid-season, if there is enough money involved, then that is the only way they would be interested. There is money in the US for sports, and comparatively RL isn't close to what their sports deal with money wise. I do think it is a good idea for the NRL to be trying to break into the USA through the betting market, it's up to the RFL to try and piggyback off that the best they can.
