Leigh’s genuine catchment area is about 100000 the bus route homecoming after the CCF was met by huge crowds in Astley, Tyldesley, Atherton and Leigh. Then add in Culcheth/GlazeburyGolborne Lowton etc

Fev ‘fans’ need to decide if they want a club as that attendance won’t pay for a fraction of that team - which is very capable of going all the way to the GF imo

Poor show on Wire ticket sales btw, they got allocated 2500 but Leigh seem to have taken back the 700 East tickets and are selling them online and from the office. Looks like about 9000 sales to date - hopefully get close to 10000. Really looking forward to this, hopefully no whistleblower controversy and a fast game.

Just read all the above and Etihad it is then. Manchester is a great City with fantastic transport links, museums, history, has many classy joints and plenty cheap boozers. 2 hours from London on the train and caters for day trippers, family’s, weekend makers and complete ###### heads. Burnham is a Leyther so should be easy for the City to sponsor the event and market it over a summer weekend outside soccer season

Thought £150 a night is a decent sum for a room in most places outside London, and must be discounts when taking all hotel - but a 3* on hotels.com 5-10 miles into city is £244 -350 for 2 nights first weekend in September as a comparison on hotels.com

If Magic is a showcase event it needs terrestrial TV which will be marketable to blue chips and real sponsorship due to exposure. It needs to be a destination that engages locals whilst encourages fans to look forward to the venue and a facility close to the centre of the town/City. If Dublin is chosen it ticks most boxes but deals must be done with Hotels, ferry’s and plane operators to ensure it’s affordable. A Dublin 2 night package with flights from Liverpool Leeds or Manchester and 3* Hotel should be no more than £250 pp and much less by ferry as a target price. Guinness being an obvious sponsor to target
