  1. My thoughts exactly - clearly written by a young journo who probably doesn't even know 'Sheddings existed ! However, whilst our spiritual home is our past, BP is definitely going to be a part of our exciting future.
  2. Yes, no reason why not at all.
  3. Well done Cian, fantastic effort !
  4. He came from Hunslet originally as a full-back but obviously with utility value
  5. Cracking and emotional little documentary by Tyler and his mum. Well worth a watch.
  6. Will Sean play all four of Ellis, Craven, Astley & PLT? And if so, where? 1,6,7 and sub possibly. Or could PLT play at left centre if JT is out?
  7. Yes, we wish you well
  8. I can't imagine we are too worried about points difference so early in the season - Sean will be confident his team will beat Keighley 3 times and it won't be an issue.
  9. That should wipe out any possible complacency in our camp then !
  10. No player in the long history of Oldham RLFC (1876 - ) has ever scored 10 tries in 2 games before. Cian beat Joe Ferguson's record of 9 set in 1922, over a century ago.
  11. We don't have an 'A' team, we have a squad of 27 of whom 5 missed the Hunslet game with injury. Some of those are long-term so Sean can't make too many changes. I suspect he might hand a chance to Paga, Gallagher & Aldridge. And maybe Kieron Tyrer as well. And start with PLT at full-back?
  12. Some of Ike's family came to one of our games last year to receive his Oldham Heritage Certificate, was lovely to meet them. I believe he was our record signing from Town at the time & then we sold him back to you 2 years later for our record sale!
  13. So Cian Tyrer has become the first Oldham player to score 6 tries in a game since the great Ike Southward in February 1960, a staggering 64 years between drinks. I know some of our older fans remember watching the great team in the 50's, so does anyone remember being at 'Sheddings to witness Ike's double hat-trick all those years ago? I believe the opposition were Walney Central in the Challenge Cup.
  14. Keighley supporter I believe Mr Hicks
  15. Just seen the tries from Hornets win at Midlands on Sunday. Ridyard & McNally still very dangerous & they got a little blond haired hooker called Openshaw who I'm sure did very well for us on dual reg a few years ago. Very lively him & will need to be watched. Can't wait for Easter Sunday, bring it on !

Cloud cuckoo land springs to mind !
  17. Now now Anita, we all know you're a proud Hornet but with a very strong soft spot for us Roughyeds as well
  18. I think Johnson is primarily a centre or full-back. He's a good player, though not quick enough for wing in my opinion.

  20. Deepest condolences, from all at Oldham RLFC.
  21. Agree, I'd be happy to play at midnight
  22. I have a hunch the club will be appealing O'Keefe's ban.
  23. I hope more of you lot vote in your bi-election than will be coming to BP.
