Wendall
Australian Rugby League boss Geoff Carr has warned any attempt to boycott the end-of-season Four Nations tournament could not be done legally. Carr says club agreements and player contracts bind both to representative duties. http://www.watoday.com.au/breaking-news-sp...0727-10u86.html Sounds a bit like in 1995 when the Aussies had half a side out for the World Cup due to the SL war. Maybe England might win if no NRL players get picked!

Perhaps playing a rep side from the Queensland Cup, etc might even things up a bit more.
L Bow
Actually it helped quite a bit. It enabled us to win the opener at Wembley getting the tournament off to an optimistic start and ultimately make the final. Contrast that with 5 years later when we got soundly beaten in the opener and the tournament roared downhill from there to the low point of the semi final flogging.
