First thoughts

1. I suspect that depression is a far greater problem in all semi-pro and professional sports, linked mainly due to the highs and lows of playing in front of crowds and in full glare of the media.

 

2. I am not sure that the issue about players wanting to leave is that great. I am not sure the survey stated that players are looking to leave, just that they would consider leaving for more money. Now, how many of us would leave our present roles if we were offered more money?

 

I think the issue is the timing of the survey on a day when Salford are having a new rebrand event and the World Cup looms.
